Role overview
We are working to develop a digital health resource that is founded on hope and will be designed to help parents deal with the enormous pressure they experience when their child is ill. Our team need parents who are willing and have time to co-develop the resource. In terms of time commitment, our team will meet two times a year in Saskatoon to discuss and move forward the work on the digital health resource. At this time, we are applying for funding and would only need a commitment that they will partner with our team.
Required knowledge, experience, skills
We would welcome any parent who has a child who has/had a health condition that compromised the family’s quality of life and sense of wellness (past or present).Time commitment
1-2 per days per year. The patient partner would be part of a team who would meet 1-2 times per year in Saskatoon to discuss and co-develop the digital health resource. Currently we are applying for funding to support this work so the time commitment would be minimal.
Location
Particpation in meetings 1-2 times per year in Saskatoon or possibly virtual meeting
What can you expect from the research team?
We are a team of health professionals (nurses and physicians) and families who are working to promote wellness and hope in families who have a child with a serious illness or health condition (example - diabetes, seizures, cancer, heart condition, genetic diseases). we have been working together for over a decade.
