Chronic Pain Pathway
The Primary Care Chronic Pain Pathway (Regina pilot) resource document is a tool for primary care providers to optimize care for people living with chronic pain. This document was created for the Regina area and provides links to local treatment resources and information on appropriate referrals to physician specialists. Development of the pathway began with an initial engagement session of seventy stakeholders including patient partners and multidisciplinary health-care providers. Participants identified useful resources for management of chronic pain and related co-morbidities. Physician specialists and primary care providers have been involved to refine the document. The pathway is intended to serve as a living document with continuous improvements and updates, including expansion to include resources for other areas of the province.
