Getting Approval to Conduct Research in the SHA
Three types of approval are required to conduct research within the SHA:
The SHA Research Department's Research Procedure Handbook applies to all SHA staff, clinicians and team members who are involved with research being conducted within the SHA, as well as any researchers from outside the SHA who will conduct research within it. The Research Handbook contains SHA’s most up-to-date procedures for conducting research including but not limited to obtaining funding, applying for REB approval, Operational Approval, managing funds, research contracts, and more. SHA staff, clinicians and their affiliated research team members must have a thorough understanding of all sections before conducting research within the SHA. Watch the short video below for highlights and download the manual for more information.
