About This Facility
Wheatland Lodge has 29 long-term care beds and one respite bed. Professionally trained nursing staff to care for resident needs, 24 hours a day. Wheelchair accessible facility and parking lot. Single rooms with private washroom including sink and toilet. Rooms contain a bed, bedside table, dresser with six drawers, wall mount for own television and a rather large closet. We have curtains on the windows or you are welcome to bring your favourite for hanging. Food is cooked in the facility.
Family room accessible for families to arrange a get together with resident. Our family room includes dining for six people, high chair for baby, fridge, stove and microwave. A spacious seating area within the family room contains a large screen television. Wheatland Lodge also has a wheelchair accessible van available to families on request for resident outings. Garden area is off the dining room. It contains large planter boxes for flowers and vegetable planting. Garden area is completely fenced in with a chain link fence which allows for an open viewing out into the distance. Covered seating area to the left of the garden area houses many visits for families and residents to enjoy. Wheatland lodge is a pet friendly environment where two cats live and mingle with residents that are cat lovers. Some highlights include:
