Role overview
Researchers at BC Cancer are hoping to speak with advanced ovarian cancer patients about their experiences with HRD testing and PARP inhibitors. The findings from the study will be used to better understand patient experiences to inform future policy and research. The study is a one-to-one interview that will take no more than one hour, be held through telephone or virtually through Teams, and you will be provided with an honorarium for your time. Required knowledge, experience, skills
We are looking to interview high grade serous, advanced ovarian cancer patients who have been offered the HRD (homologous recombination deficiency) test. If you were offered the test, this would have occurred prior to starting PARP inhibitor treatment (niraparib). To note, BRCA+ patients are not offered HRD testing.Time commitment
The study is a one time, one-to-one interview that will take no more than one hour. The interview will be held through telephone or virtually through Microsoft Teams.

What can you expect from the research team?

If eligible, you will be contacted by the research team to schedule a one time, 60 minute interview (virtual). Interviews will discuss participants' experiences with HRD testing and PARP inhibitors.
