Role overview
We are looking for a patient partner and/or caregiver who would be interested in contributing to a research team applying for a SHRF Solutions Grant. They would be involved in writing the grant, informing the methods and intervention planning, participating in analysis and informing/participating in dissemination of findings and knowledge translation.
Required knowledge, experience, skills
Experience as a person who lives with dementia and/or a caregiver of someone living with dementia.Time commitment
Variable time commitment based on the person's interest in each aspect of the research project. Likely 20 hours over the course of the project (2 year timeline).
Location
Research team is primarily in Saskatoon but virtual and remote options are available.
What can you expect from the research team?
This is a small research team partnered with health-care providers and interdisciplinary researchers (geriatric specialists, neurology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy). We are keen to gain the insight of patients living with dementia and their caregivers on this type of intervention and how it can be best implemented to suit the needs of patients and their families.
