Long COVID Self-Management – Cool-Down Exercises
A cool-down exercise provides a gradual way for your heart and breath to recover smoothly. These exercises could be the same as your warm-up exercises or you could simply slow the pace of the exercise you are doing. For example, if you are doing a brisk walk, you could slow down to an easy walk. This will allow your heart rate and breathing to return to normal levels. You could also do some stretches to the main muscles you used when walking (calves, quads, hamstrings and glutes).
