Food Safety
Public Health Inspectors work to ensure food, which is sold and distributed to the public, is safe to eat. They do this by conducting inspections of restaurants, food concessions, bakeries, delis, and food distribution centres. Public Health Inspectors use the Food Safety Regulations, Public Eating Establishment Standards and Food Processing Standards in education, evaluation and enforcement. With almost 7000 of these types of facility in Saskatchewan, Public Health Inspectors routinely visit these facilities to safeguard the health of the public.
The fees listed within the Environmental Public Health pages are effective as of September 1, 2023. Until that time, actual fees may differ.
