Family Presence Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to wear a mask in a Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) facility?
Continuous masking is no longer required in SHA facilities. Masks may be required at times in specific areas of SHA facilities, consistent with pre-pandemic point of care risk assessment processes and routine Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) practices or in an outbreak situation. Masks will continue to be readily available for any patients/residents, family members/visitors, physicians and staff who may need or want to wear one in any area of an SHA facility/home.
Who can I contact if I don't agree with a decision made about family presence?
Contact your local Quality of Care Coordinator.
Who can I contact with questions about First Nations and Métis health care?
First Nations and Métis Health concerns can be submitted via your local Quality of Care Coordinator.
Note that some information may be updated or changed, pending how COVID-19 evidence continues to evolve. It is important to maintain a balance between these recommendations and patient/resident needs.
