Bariatric Surgical Program
The Bariatric Surgical Program helps patients who struggle with obesity achieve and maintain their health and goals.
- The program provides in-depth assessment, education, support and follow-up delivered by a multidisciplinary team who specialize in the care of bariatric surgical patients.
- In order to be a part of the program, patients must be referred by their attending physician or nurse practitioner.
- The Bariatric Program in Regina is the only provincially funded bariatric surgery program in Saskatchewan.

The Bariatric Clinic is located in the Surgical Assessment Centre.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Body Mass Index (BMI)
Body Mass Index (BMI) is a measure of size based on weight and height of an individual.
Client Eligibility
The program is designed to assist in the care of those clients whose BMI (Body Mass Index) is between 35 and 70.
