SHRF 2023-24 Solutions Program Innovation and Impact Grants
SHRF's Solutions Program supports interdisciplinary teams of researchers working hand-in-hand with knowledge-users to address timely health needs in Saskatchewan and to promote sustainable impact through two funding opportunities – Innovation and Impact Grants.
- Innovation Grant: to catalyze new ideas and approaches, promoting creative problem solving; Up to $50,000 for 1 year.
- Impact Grant: to advance the translation of research into real world settings and practical applications; Up to $150,000 for 2 years

Heart & Stroke Personnel Awards for Indigenous Scholars
Details
- Application Deadline: September 1, 2023 – 3:00 p.m. EDT
- Funding Start: January 1, 2024
- Up to 8 Masters Students will be eligible for funding of $25,000 per year for up to 2 years
- Up to 5 PhD students will be eligible for funding of $30,000 per year for up to 3 years

Through this award, Heart & Stroke is seeking to increase the representation of best-in-class Indigenous researchers across heart and brain health research fields in Canada. Developed in collaboration with Indigenous communities, the awards aim to remove financial burdens associated with completing post-graduate studies to enable outstanding students the ability to focus on their studies, undertake a program of research, and engage with mentors as part of their training and development.

The Royal-Mach Gaensslen Prize for Mental Health Research
Details
- Awarded annually to recognize and support outstanding research scientists in Canada with a focus in the area of mental health.
- Provides funding to exceptional researchers who are affiliated with a Canadian academic of clinical research institution in the field of mental health and who are 45 years of age or younger, to encourage them to continue to pursue their research interests in Canada.

CIHR Operating Grant: Healthy Cities Research Initiative - Data Analysis Using Existing Databases and Cohorts
- Application deadline: November 8, 2023
- The HCRI opportunity will support research that leverages existing data to improve the health, wellness and health equity of urban populations.
- This opportunity will support projects relevant to two research areas: (1) Healthy Cities Intervention Research General Pool; (2) Healthy Cities Intervention Research Urban Indigenous Health Pool
- A total of $700,000 is available to fund 7 grants of up to $100,000.

CIHR Catalyst Grant: Crisis Line and App-based Support Models for Post-Traumatic Stress Injuries in Public Safety Personnel (PTSI in PSP)
