Role overview
We are making digital resources to help families when their child is sick. You can help. We want to hear from parents who have brought their child to a Canadian emergency department when they have had trouble breathing. Maybe they were breathing really quickly, or maybe they had an infection that made it hard for them to breathe. If this sounds familiar, we want to hear from you. Contact us at echokt@ualberta.ca to find out more. This study is being conducted at the University of Alberta Faculty of Nursing and has been approved by the Research Ethics Board (Pro00062904)

What can you expect from the research team?
Parents who agree to participate in this research study will be asked to have a 30-60-minute conversation on Zoom with one of our research staff. Parents will be asked questions that will help us get a better understanding of their experiences and information needs related to bringing a child with respiratory distress to the emergency department. The conversations will help us to create a digital resource for families that is useful, relevant, and easy to understand.
