COVID-19 Immunization Alert: AstraZeneca vaccine available immediately for 67-, 68- and 69-year-olds at Regina Drive Thru
Effective immediately, the Drive Thru for AstraZeneca immunization clinic, located in Regina, is now open for those people aged 60 to 64 and those aged 67, 68 and 69. People in these age ranges can come now attend the Drive-Thru immunization clinic on the grounds of the Regina Exhibition Association Ltd (REAL).
The SHA has decided to further expand eligibility for this clinic to align with national guidelines for those over 65 years of age to receive the AstraZeneca vaccine. This will help ensure that immunization availability is being maximized in Saskatchewan.
The stepped approach to adding age groups is to ensure that the site can support the demand. It is anticipated that the Regina drive thru will be opened to ages 65 and 66 in the days ahead. Announcements will be made as the age eligible age group is expanded.
The Drive-Thru site will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. The wait time and current eligibility for the Regina clinic can be found here and wait times will be updated hourly from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Starting today, you can also tune your radio to 107.5FM and receive important information about the immunization process.
ONLY those aged 60 - 64 or 67 - 69 on the date of immunization will be eligible when they arrive.
Individuals who are now eligible are strongly encouraged to attend. You cannot book these immunizations on-line or by phone. To ensure a positive experience for those eligible and minimize waits, please do not attend this clinic unless you have been advised your age is eligible.
When you are eligible to receive a vaccine, at the REAL location please enter the grounds through the Lewvan and 11th Avenue entrance and follow the GREEN signs for the immunization Drive-Thru clinic or the YELLOW lines if you are going to the Drive-Thru testing site. If you are going to the Mass Immunization Clinic, you can enter from Elphinstone St and 10th Ave and follow the BLUE signs. A site map can be found here.
Saskatchewan has received 15,500 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine to be used with Saskatchewan residents. Vaccines are approved by Health Canada. All approved vaccines, Pfizer BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca, are safe and we encourage everyone who is eligible to receive these to arrange for immunization. Please don’t hesitate, vaccinate!
Until most Saskatchewan residents are protected by the vaccine, you must continue following all public health orders and guidelines. COVID-19 is everywhere in Saskatchewan.
It is the responsibility of every person to strictly adhere to all public health orders and measures, including:
- Keep 2 metres away from others when in public and wear a mask.

- Wash your hands often with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
- Do not touch your eyes, nose, mouth or mask with unwashed hands.
- Stay home if you are unwell; seek health care services when you help.
