Effective 8:30 a.m. on Monday, April 12, the drive-thru immunization clinic located in Regina will be open for those people who are aged 50, 51, 52, 53 and 54 years old. Anyone who is not eligible will not be vaccinated at this time. Individuals 55 years of age and older can still receive vaccine by booking online or via telephone.
The drive-thru site will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. The wait time and current eligibility for the Regina clinic can be found here.
ONLY those aged 50, 51, 52, 53 or 54 years of age on the date of immunization will be eligible when they arrive.
Due to an increase in COVID-19 variants of concern (VoC) in Regina and area, residents are urged to seek vaccination as soon as they become eligible in order to protect themselves and those around them. Don't hesitate. Vaccinate.
The drive-thru site will be open daily from 8:30 a.m. until 11 p.m. and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. ONLY those 50 to 54 years of age on the date of immunization will receive vaccine. Individuals who are now eligible are strongly encouraged to come to the drive-thru. No booking is required. The SHA will open up the drive-thru to additional age groups based on demand through assessment of line ups and vaccine delivered.
People arriving at the site for immunization can tune their radio to 107.5FM to receive important information about the immunization process. A site map and wait times, updated hourly, can be found at saskatchewan.ca/drive-thru-vax. When on site, please be patient as lines can get long.
Please only access the drive-thru from the Lewvan Drive and 11th Avenue entrance (from the south only). To ensure a positive experience for those eligible and minimize waits, please do not attend either clinic, unless you have been advised your age is eligible.
Saskatchewan residents are being vaccinated as fast as supply allows, and is happening in phases so people most at risk get it first. More groups will be eligible as Saskatchewan receives more doses. Once you become eligible, you will always be eligible to receive immunization.
Until most Saskatchewan residents are protected by the vaccine, you must continue following all public health orders and guidelines. COVID-19 is everywhere in Saskatchewan.
It is the responsibility of every person to strictly adhere to all public health orders and measures, including:
- Keep 2 metres away from others when in public and wear a mask.
- Limit gatherings and ensure gathering sizes do not exceed public health orders.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
- Do not touch your eyes, nose, mouth or mask with unwashed hands.
- Stay home if you are unwell; seek health care services when you help.
- Regularly monitor your health for any COVID-19 symptoms and seek testing.
Thank-you for your patience as we enhance COVID-19 immunization access across the province in the coming weeks. For more information on COVID-19, including vaccinations, please visit saskatchewan.ca/COVID19.
