Role overview
As a participant in this study, you would be asked to take part in one interview (virtual or by email) about your experiences with postoperative delirium (delirium after surgery). We will also ask questions such as age, gender, languages spoken, and varied abilities. Participation is expected to take less than 1-hour of your time. Participation is voluntary. Your decision to participate will not affect any benefit of medical care or employment to which you are entitled or currently receiving.

Patients (age 65+) and families with loved ones who have experienced delirium after surgery, and received care in Canada.Time commitment

What can you expect from the research team?
Our team is multidisciplinary, with members who are clinicians and researchers in the Departments of Anesthesiology and Psychiatry, as well as patient partners and the Seniors Center Without Walls.
Supports available to participate
Participation is voluntary. If you choose to participate in this study, there may or may not be any direct benefits to you. It is hoped that the information gained from this study will improve the experience and outcomes for older surgical patients in Saskatchewan while addressing increased pressures on the health system exacerbated by postoperative delirium.
