Role overview
Assisting in grant application, providing knowledge of support needs for caregivers of persons living with dementia in rural Canada or as members of equity deserving groups, participating in the research team if the grant is successful.
Required knowledge, experience, skills
The position must be filled by a person who is currently or has in the past cared for a person living with dementia (friend or family member) AND be either a resident of a rural area in Canada or a member of an equity deserving group (e.g., Black Canadians, members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, Chinese Canadians, South Asian Canadians).Time commitment
Approximately one hour per week in the months leading to the grant proposal submission (Deadline is December 11, 2024). Approximately one hour per week for the duration of the grant if proposal is successful (4 years).

A friendly, experienced group of researchers from across Canada, (the Nominated Principal Applicant is at the University of Saskatchewan), who are passionate about dementia care, supports for caregivers, and expanding the range of services offered in Canada to include virtual options, and culturally grounded, community-specific tools.
