Regina Chronic Pain Clinic
The Regina Chronic Pain Clinic is a multidisciplinary team caring for people living with chronic pain. The team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, a registered psychiatric nurse, a social worker, pharmacists, licensed practical nurses, exercise therapists and other health-care providers. The team works with a patient's family doctor or referring practitioner to provide treatment and support which may include interventional pain medicine, pain medication prescriptions or changes to prescriptions, mental health support, exercise therapy, and traditional Indigenous medicine. Once a safe care plan is in place, care is transferred to primary care provider(s). The clinic does not provide acute care for mental health or medical emergencies.

Saskatoon Chronic Pain Service
The Saskatoon Chronic Pain Service(SCPS) is a multidisciplinary in-person service caring for people living with chronic non-cancer pain. Currently, our team includes a family physician with a focused practice in chronic pain and addiction and three nurse practitioners. We are soon expanding to include social work and pharmacy. The team works with a patient's primary care and/or referring source to provide diagnostic clarification and treatment suggestions. We provide the patient directly with psycho-education and connections to other supports. These supports may include psychological and physical (movement) therapies, bracing/physical aids and self management programs. In certain situations, interventions such as dry needling or trigger point injections, OnabotulinumtoxinA, or joint injections may be offered and performed. Once a safe care plan is in place, the patient is discharged back to their primary care team.
Referrals from a physician or nurse practitioners are required to be seen at the SCPS, however patients do not require a primary health care provider to access the service.
Patients who require spinal interventions should be referred directly to an interventional service. Patients with a life limiting illness are likely better served through consultation with palliative care.
Patients are required to complete intake forms by email prior to being scheduled for their appointment to maximize in person consultation time. The link for the form is below.
