Provincial Clinical and Support Services
The Provincial Clinical and Support Services (PCSS) portfolio is responsible for a number of important systems and services across the Saskatchewan Health Authority. These include Diagnostic Imaging, Laboratory Medicine, Pharmacy Services, Emergency Medical Services, Environmental Services, Nutrition and Food Services, Provincial System Flow and Infrastructure Management.
Leadership Team
Bryan Witt - Vice President, Provincial Clinical and Support Services
Bryan Witt comes from his role as Interim Vice President, Integrated Saskatoon Health and previously as Executive Director of Diagnostic Imaging for the Saskatchewan Health Authority. In that role, he has provided strategic leadership and a patient centered approach for Diagnostic Imaging and Nuclear Medicine. Bryan has served Saskatchewan as a health-care provider, educator and leader for over 25 years. Bryan began his career as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, and throughout his career has held a number of positions within the Medical Imaging field including Radiation Safety Officer, Manager of Safety, Quality and Technology, Manager of Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT, and Program Head for the MRT and CLXT programs at Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
Bryan has also served in many senior roles in the former Saskatoon Health Region, including Director of Medical Imaging and Nuclear Medicine, Kaizen Fellow, and Director of General Internal Medicine and Ambulatory Care. Recently Bryan was Co-Commander for the Saskatoon Integrated Health Incident Command Centre (IHICC) during the pandemic and Co-Lead for the Saskatoon Capacity Response Team. Bryan has a diploma in Nuclear Medicine Technology from BCIT in British Columbia, has completed his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Regina, has completed a Fellowship in Health System Improvement from the University of Alberta - School of Public Health, and is a Certified Health Executive through the Canadian College of Health Leaders.
Through the philosophy of continuous improvement, Bryan is committed to serving the patients and families of Saskatchewan through providing a consistent approach that supports both the delivery of high quality health care and improved coordination of health services throughout the province.
Richard Dagenais - Executive Director, Medical Imaging
As the Executive Director of Medical Imaging for the Saskatchewan Health Authority, Richard Dagenais provides strategic leadership for imaging services across the province.
Richard has 20 years of progressive health-care leadership experience. He has a master’s degree in Physics and has previously worked in Information Technology and Project Management roles. Prior to serving as the Executive Director, Richard worked as the Director of Provincial Support for Medical Imaging, where he supported Medical Imaging in improving collaboration across Saskatchewan.
Richard works with teams across Saskatchewan to ensure that high quality imaging services are provided to patients as close to home as possible and in as timely a way as possible. He is committed to ensuring that high quality and innovative imaging technologies and services are available to the people of Saskatchewan.
Brandi Keller - Executive Director, Laboratory Medicine
As the Executive Director of Laboratory Medicine for the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), Brandi Keller provides strategic leadership for laboratory medicine across the province. With over 18 years of experience in laboratory operations, Brandi has played a pivotal role in ensuring that SHA’s laboratory services maintain the highest of standards.
In her role, Brandi collaborates closely with healthcare professionals to drive performance improvements and optimize service delivery in both urban and rural communities. She is deeply committed to enhancing patient care through timely and accurate diagnostic testing to support clinical decision-making and improve health outcomes for Saskatchewan residents.
Brandi recently served as the Director of Laboratory Medicine – North, where she spearheaded initiatives that improved efficiency and fostered collaboration within the laboratory environment. She has advanced training in Laboratory Quality Management, LEAN, and holds the Canadian Health Executive (CHE) designation from the Canadian College of Health Leaders.
Known for her leadership, commitment to innovation, and dedication to patient care, Brandi is passionate about shaping the future of laboratory medicine in Saskatchewan. Her leadership philosophy is grounded in building strong relationships and fostering collaboration with healthcare leaders, physicians, First Nations partners, and other key stakeholders. Throughout her career, Brandi has consistently promoted high-quality, safe laboratory services aligned with SHA’s mission to deliver safe and efficient care to patients and families.
Patrick Robertson - Executive Director, Pharmacy Services
As Executive Director of Pharmacy Services, Patrick Robertson will provide collaborative leadership and strategic direction in the development of provincial pharmacy services.
Patrick has been a hospital pharmacist for 26 years and has 20 years of progressive healthcare administration experience of which 14 years have been at Saskatoon as a pharmacist leader. He has worked as a clinical coordinator and as a clinical manager. Over the past two years, Patrick has served as director of Pharmacy Services in the former Saskatoon Health Region. He is interested in the opportunity to further contribute in a provincial leadership capacity.
Patrick received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSP) at the University of Saskatchewan (U of S) and a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor, College of Pharmacy and Nutrition, at the U of S. He will be completing his Masters of Business Administration from the Edwards School of Business, U of S in 2018.
Patrick is committed to delivering patient and family centred care targeted at improving the health of Saskatchewan residents through optimized medication therapy.
Rod MacKenzie - Executive Director, Community Care
As the Executive Director of Community Care, Rod MacKenzie and his team will continue to advance the development of an enhanced patient-centered approach to Emergency Medical and Community Care Services, which includes Saskatchewan Air Ambulance and Provincial Ground Ambulance Services, Provincial Kidney Health Programs, HealthLine 811, and Medical Assistance in Dying.
Rod brings a wealth of diverse experience to his role, having worked in both Education and Health Care fields. Previously, Rod held positions as a school teacher, school administrator, and Advanced Care Paramedic in Alberta before assuming the Manager-Prehospital Emergency Medical Services role for the former Saskatoon Health Region in 2007. He has since served in various senior management capacities, including Director-EMS, Integration and ACAL, and Co-Director, Senior’s Health and Continuing Care, and Rural EMS. Rod holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta, Master of Education from the University of Calgary, an Advanced Care Paramedic Diploma from Portage College, and a Diploma in Environment, Health and Safety from the University of New Brunswick. Additionally, he has completed a Fellowship in Health Care Transformation from the University of Alberta.
With a commitment to fostering collaboration, Rod and his team are eager to work alongside stakeholders to enhance the coordination and delivery of health services in Provincial Community Care.
Kerri Cryderman - Executive Director, Environmental Services
Kerri Cryderman comes to the role of Executive Director of Environmental Services from her position as Director of Quality Improvement for the former Saskatoon Health Region where she provided leadership to quality improvement, strategic planning and strategic health information and performance.
Kerri is a certified lean leader who graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Production and Operations Management and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Saskatchewan. Kerri is an experienced leader who has held various positions in support services within health care over the last ten years. Kerri's career led her to health care after seven years in manufacturing environments within the United States and Canada.
Kerri is a servant leader who passionately cares about people and is willing to take on new challenges. She is dedicated to developing engaged teams who strive to remove waste and build quality and safety as a method of improvement.
Stephanie Cook - Executive Director, Nutrition and Food Services
Stephanie Cook comes to the role of Executive Director of Nutrition and Food Services following her most recent position as Director of Nutrition Services.
Stephanie is a Registered Dietitian with a Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition and a Masters of Science, Nutrition and Metabolism. Previously, she held other leadership roles within the former Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region. Stephanie is very passionate about the health and wellness that can be achieved through food and has a powerful vision for Nutrition and Food Services.
Stephanie is excited to work with the Nutrition and Food Services team and their clinical partners to continue the important and innovative work that is underway.
Shane Timm - Executive Director, Infrastructure Management
As the Executive Director of Infrastructure Management, Shane Timm is responsible for overseeing the operations and maintenance of over 277 SHA-owned facilities. Included in the portfolio is also Protective Services, Parking, and Health Emergency Management services for the province.
With 25 years of progressive healthcare leadership, Shane began his healthcare career as a registered Medical Radiation Technologist and joins the Infrastructure Management team after spending the previous 8 years as the Director of Medical Imaging for Saskatoon. With a track record of successful project execution, process improvement, and a focus on financial sustainability, Shane is committed to advancing healthcare innovation and operational excellence.
Shane holds a Master’s Certification in Project Management from the University of Saskatchewan, and has led multiple capital projects and played a key role in growing partnerships that support continuous improvement initiatives across the Infrastructure Management portfolio. With the ongoing opportunities to navigate complex healthcare environments, Shane and the Infrastructure Management team are eager to act as change agents to enhance operational efficiencies and align strategic, financial, and regulatory goals, to ensure a high quality patient centered environment in all SHA facilities.
