Mobile vaccination clinic by La Ronge EMS Ambulance
On June 20, 2021, the La Ronge Public Health Nurses partnered with the La Ronge EMS paramedics to drive around the communities of La Ronge, Air Ronge and Lac La Ronge Indian Band Reserves. Together they provided a mobile vaccination clinic using the back of a La Ronge EMS ambulance within the Northern Saskatchewan tri-community.
Corey Ecarnot, Deputy Chief of Operations for La Ronge EMS and Northern Air Medevac commented, “It’s important we reach out to those in our communities that may not have the ability to attend vaccination clinics, have the ability to call and make an appointment, or who may not know when vaccination clinics are taking place.”
Both the mobile and drive-thru vaccination clinics located at the La Ronge Health Centre over the weekend saw a great turn out of both first and second doses of vaccines administered.
Well done everyone in helping #StickItToCovid!
