I know they will provide valuable insight into how we conduct this study, and how we can produce results that will directly benefit them and our participants. Our research team will be strengthened by the participation of a patient researcher. An individual with lived experience with chronic pain and medication use will provide unique insight into how the questions of the interview guide might be received by participants, how to shape our questions, and what questions to ask to respectfully and earnestly gather information. After the interviews are complete, we will identify common themes or trends. The patient researcher, will facilitate how to best categorize, organize, and present these concepts such the finalized work is easily interpreted and can inform healthcare practitioners and patients alike. We will be supportive and value your contributions.
