Administrative Information Management System (AIMS) Update

AIMS is a provincial initiative to integrate business information across the province into an integrated software solution. COVID-19 slowed our progress, but it also reinforced the need for a system like AIMS to provide provincial insight into operational information and needs.

The system is a product of significant design and development work, more than what we could have even originally anticipated. Our health system is complex, and our business information management system is multi-layered to meet and support the needs of our partners and their employees. We work from the belief that it’s important to establish a solid system from the beginning.

Many on our teams had been reallocated to COVID-19 work, but are now back and are working hard to realize a fall launch. However, we also recognize that the system must meet quality standards and that employees are prepared to receive such a significant business transformation. As we progress, we will continue to provide information leading up to the implementation of AIMS and look forward to sharing the system with you in the coming weeks and months.
