At Home Testing for ALL Health Care Workers
Did you know that any health care worker can participate in the Test to Protect At Home Testing Program for Health Care Workers? This includes physicians, support staff, clinical staff, management, etc.
All you need to do is complete the quick online training that takes approximately 15 minutes (see the link below). Then pick up a testing kit at your local distribution/pick up site and take them home.
The Abbott Panbio, a point of care COVID-19 antigen test, or “rapid test”, is a simple to use screening (not diagnostic) tool which can help to detect the virus in asymptomatic people. While a confirmatory test is required after a positive antigen test, the Panbio allows for staff to test themselves and their household at home in roughly 15-20 minutes.
The option to participate in at home testing is voluntary. You can learn more about the program on the Testing Screening Treatment and Medical Directives page.
Summer is here! As you and your family make plans to enjoy the summer holidays, it is more important than ever to know the status of you and your household. Regular testing is one very simple tool you can build into your family routine, that will help maintain safe work and home life.
