Lestock Primary Health Care Clinic temporary service changes
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is advising residents of Lestock and area of upcoming temporary service changes at the Lestock Primary Health Care Clinic that will be effective June 20, 2022.
The clinic has successfully recruited a physician to fill a recent vacancy due to the resignation of the current physician. This individual is expected to begin providing services one day per week in mid-August. Recruitment of a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to fill a temporary, full-time vacancy has resulted in securing one NP to provide coverage two days per week. A second NP has also been recruited to provide virtual visits for one-half day per week. During the period until the new physician is expected to start in August and the full-time NP is expected to return in December, residents may experience delays in accessing physician and NP services.
Patients will continue to be able to book appointments during regular clinic hours Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Appointments will be subject to the availability of the NPs with hours currently scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Lab services will continue to be available during regular hours Tuesday and Wednesday 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Thursdays 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Residents can continue to make arrangements for NP services by calling 306-274-2300.
The SHA apologizes for any inconvenience that may result from this temporary change and appreciates your support and cooperation during this transition period.
In the event of an emergency, call 9-1-1, and an ambulance will be dispatched to provide assistance. Call HealthLine 811 toll-free 24 hours per day if you have non-urgent health or mental health-related questions.
