Mobile clinics in North Battleford provide convenient options for COVID-19 immunization
As part of the strategy to make vaccine delivery as accessible as possible, the Saskatchewan Health Authority’s North Battleford vaccine team has been hitting the road, offering vaccine clinics in various locations in the area.
“I’m very pleased with our work partnering with the Frontier Mall, No Frills Gas and Grocery and the Co-op Mall Gas and Discovery Co-op Gas Bar where we held mobile clinics,” said Garrett Francais, vaccine manager. ”To focus on vacationers heading to the lake for the weekend, on Saturday July 24, we went directly to the lake with a clinic at Jackfish Lake Provincial Park and Meota Regional park and we are hoping to go back for the August long weekend, as well.”
Plans are also in the works to partner with the Farmers Market on July 30 and August 6th at the Frontier Mall and Battlefords Immigration Centre on August 4.
“Our focus is on bringing the vaccine to as many places as possible, to offer convenient options to our communities,” Francais added.
