Outpatient department services to resume at Broadview Union Hospital
Please be advised that outpatient department services at the Broadview Union Hospital will resume by appointment only beginning Thursday, August 5, 2021.
The resumption of outpatient department services in Broadview means patients will have local access to services such as first dose IV antibiotics, dressing changes, IV therapy, complex wound care, etc. through the outpatient department at the Broadview Union Hospital. Initially, outpatient department services will be available by appointment only on Mondays and Thursdays between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Outpatient department services can only be accessed through referrals from primary health care providers or home care. Walk-in services are currently not available.
At this time, acute care and emergency room services at Broadview Union Hospital remain temporarily closed. The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has had success in recruiting to fill some of the vacant Combined Lab/X-ray Technician (CLXT) positions at Broadview Union Hospital.
Ongoing recruitment efforts remain a priority in order to safely restore stable and predictable acute care and emergency services and avoid future service disruptions. The SHA is committed to providing ongoing status updates to the community and appreciates the patience and understanding of the citizens of Broadview and surrounding area as we work to restore sustainable and stable services.
