Patient Status Update: James Smith Cree Nation and Weldon mass casualty incident
As of 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) confirms there are nine patients who remain in-hospital, all of whom are in stable condition.
For privacy reasons, the SHA will not be disclosing further information, including the location of the hospitals where these patients are receiving care.
The SHA is saddened by the tragic acts of violence that occurred at James Smith Cree Nation and the town of Weldon last weekend and that have shaken all residents and communities across the province. The SHA will continue to support Prince Albert Grand Council, James Smith Cree Nation and other community partners in their work in supporting all those directly affected by this tragedy.
