Regina’s Farmers’ Market and Cornwall Centre clinics vaccinate 1,500 and counting
More than 1,500 – that’s how many people have been vaccinated for COVID-19 at the Farmers’ Market and Cornwall Centre in Regina. To date, the Farmers’ Market has held four clinics and the Cornwall Centre has held three.
Both clinics are offering first and second doses, and will continue to do so weekly for the next few weeks. The Farmers’ Market (Scarth Street) clinics are held on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., and the next Cornwall Centre (2nd floor) clinics will be held on Friday, July 30 and Friday, Aug. 6 from 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
“The response has been very positive,” said Jena Ryan, vaccine operational lead for Regina and Director of Primary Health Care for the Saskatchewan Health Authority. “People have appreciated us coming to where they work and play! They’re out shopping, or at work on their coffee break, and see the clinic. Because it’s convenient, they get it done.
“Vaccination is more important than ever now that we’re able to go out without our masks on,” continued Ryan. “Let’s keep the momentum going and Stick It to COVID by getting vaccinated. It’s in our hands… or perhaps our arms!”
