SHA partners with Boardwalk and Mainstreet Equity to vaccinate more than 500
More than 500 people have been vaccinated in their apartment complexes, thanks to a partnership between the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) and Boardwalk Real Estate Investment Trust and Mainstreet Equity Corp.
To date, clinics have been held at Gladmer Park and Qu’Appelle (by the University of Regina), Mainstreet Apartments behind the Golden Mile and 28th Avenue (between Rae and Retallack streets). More clinics will be offered in the coming weeks.
“Mainstreet partnered with the Saskatchewan Health Authority to help the mobile clinic in any way we could because we know how important it is for the community to get vaccinated,” said Manpreet Shergill, regional manager for Regina at Mainstreet Equity. “We stood together by being apart for so long, and now it’s time to Stick it to COVID so we can get back to business.”
“The response has been great!” said Jena Ryan, vaccine operational lead for Regina and director of Primary Health Care for the SHA. “People have appreciated that we’re making vaccination an easy and convenient choice.
“Getting everyone vaccinated is more important than ever now that we’re able to go out without our masks on in public spaces,” continued Ryan, “whether that’s at the grocery store or in the hallway of your own apartment complex. Only you can ensure you’re protected, so let’s keep the momentum going and Stick it to COVID.”
