Role overview
Are you passionate about health research and the responsible use of health data? The Health Research Data Platform-SK is establishing a Public Advisory Council (PAC) to ensure public voices shape how health data is used in Saskatchewan! What will the PAC do? - Advise on public engagement: Helping communicate the impact of health research and ensuring transparency around data privacy. - Guide priorities: Providing input on HRDP-SK’s short- and long-term objectives. - Review and provide feedback: Assessing materials, policies, and projects to enhance public trust. - Promote public engagement : Supporting recruitment and collaboration with engagement groups.
Required knowledge, experience, skills
We’re looking for individuals with lived experience or community members who reside in Saskatchewan, interested in shaping health-data-driven research but are currently not working in healthcare or other related fields, such as health data, health policy, or similar areas. No previous experience on a council or committee is required—just a willingness to contribute with your perspectives and make an impact on the direction of health research!Time commitment
2 hrs per month (max)

Virtual, but must live in Saskatchewan
What can you expect from the research team?
By joining this project, you’ll be part of an open and collaborative space where your perspectives matter. The PAC will work closely with HRDP-SK to ensure that health research in Saskatchewan aligns with public interests. Through regular meetings and ongoing collaboration, this committee will play a key role in guiding meaningful impact in health data-driven research.
