AIMS this week - December 19, 2024
Wave one stabilization progress update
Recent stabilization progress includes:
- Saskatchewan Health Authority is meeting demand to process new hires and internal transfers starting within the next two weeks. Focus has shifted to improvements for new hires and transfers beyond two weeks.
- Procurement teams have stabilized purchase order backlog and are addressing spikes in demand as needed. Teams are working to ensure all facilities are properly stocked and prepared for the Christmas break.
- Advances to employees for missing pay continues to be at or below pre-AIMS levels.
- Payroll teams implemented a fix for issues impacting professional dues, with corrections to be included in the next pay for affected employees.
- Accounts payable made changes to the credit invoice process to connect directly with coders with invoices older than two weeks. As a result, 97 per cent of expense reports were paid within the targeted 14 days.
- Payroll teams are focused on year-end payroll activities and are working to address remaining issues related to WCB and travel/mileage claims.
- Manual corrections are being processed for travel and mileage claims, and affected employees can expect adjustments on their December 20 pay.
- Accounts payable is on track to eliminate the backlog in unpaid invoices under 30 days and continues working to resolve high volumes of duplicate invoices, and issues with the supplier email inbox.
- For unpaid invoices over 30 days, teams are focused on invoices with statuses of In Progress, Purchasing Hold, and Validation Hold. Additional staff are being trained to assist with remaining backlog.
