Research Ethics
All research involving Saskatchewan Health Authority patients, residents, clients, and staff, must receive approval by one of the three provincial Research Ethics Boards (REBs) in Saskatchewan: Saskatchewan Health Authority, University of Saskatchewan or University of Regina. There is a reciprocity agreement between the three provincial Research Ethics Boards. The reciprocity agreement affirms that a protocol approved by one REB is accepted by the other two Boards. If there are operational concerns regarding the proposed research, the SHA Research Approvals Coordinator will contact the Chair of the Local Ethics Committee separately.
