Year-End Phase
5 key steps
Completion of the year-end process is a shared responsibility between employee, supervisor and the larger organization. The year-end process is inclusive of five key steps each calendar year.
- By March 31- Complete transfer of Microsoft Word-based APP to digital APP
- By March 31 - Complete APP and submit to supervisor
- By April 30 - APP Final Review Meeting
- By April 30 - Finalize & Submit APP
- May-June - APP Validation
- Late-June - APP Rating results, eligibility and salary increases communicated
- TBD - With prioritization on AIMS go-live in the spring, APP in-range progression increases will be applied later than normal. At this point in time, we are unsure when the in-range increases will be implemented. The increases will be retroactive to July 1, 2024, once they are applied and processed.

Year-end phase planning for all OOS supervisors
As we move into the APP Year-End Planning Phase, comes the need for all OOS supervisors to prepare for APP year-end review meetings and to submit year-end APPs by April 30.
To help OOS leaders prepare for these important year-end steps, an information package has been created outlining the details related to effectively planning for and completing the APP Year-End Phase. Topics include: Normative distribution, Performance ratings, Planning with Senior Leadership Teams, Portfolio reporting, Consistency review.
All OOS leaders are encouraged to review the recorded WebEx to ensure consistent understanding of key dates, requirements, and answers to frequently asked questions related to the APP year-end phase. Included in the information package in Related Documents below is:
