- Strategic communications, community engagement and marketing planning, advice and implementation, including major province-wide health campaigns
- Official Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) publication preparation and distribution (SHA News, Annual Report, Community Report, etc.)
- Organization-wide internal and external news development and distribution
- Media relations including relationship development/maintenance, news conferences, interview co-ordination, spokesperson training/coaching, news tracking and metrics, etc.
- Social media management including strategy, analytics, monitoring, response, etc.
- Identification/management of potential/emerging public relations issues
- Crisis communications (support of Incident Command / Emergency Operations Centre)
- Refinement of operational key messages
- Support for external speaking engagements for executive and senior leaders (key messages, speeches, speaking notes, presentations)
- Administrative ownership and management of the SHA public and internal websites
- Photography, videography and graphic design
- SHA logo and brand management including template development and maintenance
- Liaising with communications counterparts in the municipal, provincial and federal governments as well as with partner organizations (HQC, 3sHealth, eHealth, etc.)

Community Engagement & Communications Services (CEC) Portfolio
The structure of the CEC portfolio includes three divisions:
Media Relations, Public Affairs and Creative Services
Co‐ordinates and develops responses for all media requests, provides leadership on emerging public issues, develops proactive media pitches, co‐ordinates public responses to reports of the independent legislative officers, brand development and compliance, provincial marketing campaigns, creative services, and oversees legislative session preparation, monitoring and assistance for the SHA.
Communications Services and Online Strategy
Strategic communications advice and communications services to the province‐wide Executive Leadership Team (ELT) portfolios, Governance/Policy unit and Chief Audit Office, SHA online and digital media services, SHA translation and interpretation services; liaises with communications units in partner agencies (3sHealth, HQC, Saskatchewan Cancer Agency, SAHO).
