Central Venous Access Device (CVAD) Clinical Resources – Pediatric and Neonate
Rollout - July 23, 2024
The Pediatric and Neonate Central Venous Access Device (CVAD) Bundle Documents are being provided for training purposes to prepare staff for the official go live date of July 23, 2024.
- Due to practice and product changes, all clinical staff providing care to pediatric and neonate patients with CVAD lines need to complete the education. Ongoing recertification may be different depending on the provider and frequency of practice.
- Even though a care provider is eligible to perform a procedure, follow local processes for which clinical team member is responsible for completing various functions. Refer to the "clinical team members eligible to perform this function" and "education and training requirement" sections in the clinical procedure for further guidance.
- Please see the Implementation Plan and Checklist below to support operational leaders or clinical designate prepare for the implementation of the bundle.
