Physician Wellness and Support
This page compiles Physician Wellness resources including courses, Physician Town Hall Wellness Presentations, and other resources available from organizations in Saskatchewan and Canada.
Physicians can access direct support through the Saskatchewan Medical Association's Physician Health Program or by contacting Brenda Senger (306-657-4553) in Saskatoon and north or Jessica Richardson (306-359-2750) in Regina and the south.
Courses
The Online Therapy Unit is located at the University of Regina and specializes in offering adults free confidential Online Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (Online-CBT) for depression, anxiety, alcohol misuse, and chronic health conditions.
Online-CBT involves reviewing educational material online with therapist support typically provided once-weekly. The approach is evidence-based, effective and convenient. Current course offerings are below:

SHA's Resilient Workplace Information
The Resilient Workplace web page has resources, information and quick links that build individual and workplace resilience and supports healthcare worker well-being. On this site, health care workers will find information on wellness and resiliency including webinar series, coaching support strategy, Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Support and numerous other resources.
Other Physician Resources
The University of Saskatchewan's College of Medicine has created a video/webinar series for physicians that include a range of topics such as Leadership During Pandemic, Connecting at a Distance, What Are We Doing Right?, and Substance Abuse Disorders During the Pandemic among others. The Alberta Medical Association's COVID-19 Physician Wellness Resources includes educational bulletins, podcasts, surveys and other resources aimed at maintaining physician wellness during the pandemic.
