All Participants
Whether you are already matched or waiting to be matched, a variety of self-led courses are available on MyConnection to help you prepare for a successful mentorship experience. These courses are designed to help you build a strong foundation by helping you understand your responsibilities and supporting the mindset needed for meaningful engagement. These self-led learning courses include:
- Mentorship Foundations Series: How to Mentor Others
- Mentorship Foundations Series: A Mentee’s Guide to Successful Mentorship
- Introduction to LEADS
- The LEADS in a Caring Environment capabilities framework represents the key skills, behaviours, abilities, and knowledge required to lead in all sectors and levels of the health system.
- Introduction to Coaching Skills for Leaders
How to Access Courses via MyConnection
- Use Google Chrome to log into MyConnection. (If you need help logging in, watch a short video with instructions).
- Click on "MyLearning" then click "Access MyLearning" which will launch the SHA learning platform in a new tab.
- Search for the course by clicking 'CLICK HERE TO SEARCH ALL LEARNING MODULES' in the top banner bar of the web page. In the search bar, type in the course name you are looking for.
- Click 'Enroll for free'.
Mentorship Program Guidebook
The SHA Mentorship Program guidebook provides a clear overview of the program, including its goals, benefits, and processes. It also includes practical tools such as discussion questions, worksheets, and strategies for navigating challenges.
Use this guidebook as a starting point and reference it throughout your time in the program to help you feel prepared and supported.

Initial Mentor-Mentee Meeting
This MyConnection course is designed for mentors and mentees to complete together during their initial meeting. It provides guidance to help you start building a strong connection, and includes discussion prompts to get to know one another while establishing a foundation of trust. The course also guides you step-by-step thorough completing the mentorship agreement by exploring key topics together, such as: logistics, setting expectations and goals, and preparing for potential challenges. By the end, you will have a clear plan in place to support a successful and meaningful mentorship experience.
MentorshipConnects Workshop Registration Information
Upcoming workshops are listed below. To view a description and register, click on the tile of your preferred workshop. While we understand things come up and plans change, it is expected that registered participants are able to attend and participate.
Prior to registering we encourage you to discuss participation with your supervisor.
