Website Content Management
Community Engagement and Communications (CEC) is accountable for the administrative ownership and management of the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) employee and public website (saskhealthauthority.ca).
The site is designed around the needs and wants of our patients and families, to create a seamless, integrated online experience for SHA staff, patients and residents of Saskatchewan.
Content strategy
Our goal is to publish useful, purposeful, trustworthy content that helps support the health and well-being of everyone in Saskatchewan. This strategy guides the planning, creation, delivery and governance of useful, usable content. This includes the words, images and multimedia that users see, read or experience.

Background information
Healthwise content (a component of HealthLine811) is integrated into the SHA website to provide hundreds of articles, videos and infographics that is clinically-reviewed and maintained. Healthwise content is not specific to Saskatchewan audiences or SHA programs and services; it is a Canadian tool that is also used extensively in Alberta and British Columbia. It is intended to fill information gaps in areas where SHA-specific information is unavailable and was implemented in consultation with SHA leaders.
Editing Healthwise content
If you would like to request Healthwise content to be revised or removed, please email a request, including SHA operational approval and/or the source(s) for accurate information if required, to SHA Web Changes.
Analytics reports
Web analytics data can help to better understand the online journey of site visitors and identify statistical trends. The CEC team is able to compile data reports for the SHA website based on the following information:
- Page views – an instance of a page being loaded (or reloaded) in a web browser
- Sessions – consists of every action taken by a single user during each site visit
- Average session duration – the average length of an active session
- Bounce rate – percentage of users who left a page without interacting further with the page or site
- Top document download – document on a page downloaded the most by users
- Top external link - link on a page to an external website that was clicked the most by users
- Top email link - link on a page to an email address that was clicked most by users
To request a website analytics report for your SHA website content, please email SHA Web Changes and be sure to include the following:
- specific section or pages of the website you want data on;
- date range (e.g., July 1 – Sept. 30, 2023);
- desired timeline; and
- priority (e.g., associated with an SHA Roadmap or time-sensitive).
Note: Analytics reports require data gathering, compilation, and in some cases, interpretation of results. The timeframe to complete a report varies according to the number webpages, the volume of data involved, and the CEC team’s capacity. Please keep this in mind when submitting a request.
If you have any questions, please contact email SHA Web Changes.
