LEADS in a Caring Environment is a leadership capabilities framework that provides a unique and comprehensive leadership development approach.
LEADS is founded on the principle of caring for everyone in the system: patients, residents, families, employees and physicians.
The LEADS framework will guide us in our leadership roles in alignment with our vision, mission, and values. LEADS focuses on influencing individual leadership behaviors to improve leadership performance.
Lead Self
Explores achieving self-awareness, self-development, self-management, and a demonstration of character.
Engages Others
Examines the role of the leader in connecting with their teams through inspiration, communication and teamwork.
Achieve Results
Focuses on the accountability of the leader to manage resources and realize strategic goals.
Develop Coalitions
Recognizes the synergy between two or more partners and the understanding that collaborative initiatives require a balance between autonomy and interdependence.
Systems Transformation
Explores critical thinking, innovation, championing change, and a future-focused orientation.
Introduction to LEADS Course Bundle
Online, self-led courses are available for each of the LEADS domains. Each course in the bundle is approximately 30 minutes and includes an overview of the domain as well as self-reflection activities.
Enrollment Information
To enroll in the Introduction to LEADS Course Bundle, follow these steps:
1. Log into MyConnection
2. Click on “MyLearning”
3. Click on “Access MyLearning”
4. Click on “View more courses”
5. Search: “Introduction to LEADS”
6. Click on the course bundle and click “enroll”
