SHA Rounds Newsletter Submissions
SHA Rounds has an updated the submission form. To use the form, download it by right clicking and saving as on your computer. You can then complete the form and send it with each submission. Review the form for further instructions.

SHA Rounds is distributed on Tuesday and Thursday to keep employees and physicians informed. For more information, contact news@saskhealthauthority.ca.
SHA Rounds is your publication. We invite you to submit your story ideas, events, and staff appreciation items for consideration for publication. The following information will help you with this process.
Deadlines
Submit content, according to the description below, by 2 p.m. prior to the day you would like the information published, 2pm,m on Monday afternoon for Tuesday's edition and 2 p.m. on Wednesday for Thursday's edition. Your submission must have executive director (ED) approval.
Content
All submitted content is subject to review by the SHA News Editor who may adjust wording or length, tone, etc. alignment with Canadian Press Style guidelines, and the SHA Writing Styles Guidelines as appropriate. Target content length is 150 words or less.
If submitting a photo of staff working or in a facility please identify those in the photo(s). Review Photos, Videos and Images intranet page since employees have different requirements for consent for photo use.
Promoting staff surveys in SHA Rounds have criteria that must be met:
- The surveys cannot be for personal use (projects, research, curiosity).
- The surveys must be pertinent to our declared organizational objectives for the year (related to that year’s SHA Roadmap), or there must be a clear operational need for the information that will be gathered by the survey.
- Approval for conducting the survey must be obtained in advance from a member of the executive leadership team (ELT) for the area most responsible for the survey.
- Surveys cannot be anonymous; a portfolio name and contact information must be attached to it and part of the promotion.
Do not submit the same content to both SHA Rounds and Leader Resources since all SHA leaders receive both publications. Determine if your message is restricted to leaders or can be shared with all staff.
Please note that not all content fits the submission criteria for SHA Rounds. This may include:
- Urgent or time-sensitive information (e.g. Outbreaks)
- Complaints or critiques
- Site-specific operational information (e.g. Elevator 5 is broken at Regina General Hospital)
- Advertising from local businesses
- Cafeteria menus
- Advertising on behalf of political parties or labour groups
If you have a submission for the Notice Board area (included in Thursday editions of SHA Rounds) please determine which category below is suitable for your submission and provide a link or PDF. If the document you are providing is already a live link on the SHA website/intranet or an external website, the link must be provided. Please contact news@saskhealthauthority.ca if you require assistance.

- Partners (Foundation, union, SCA news)
- Professional Development (Upcoming conferences or work-related events)
- Saskatchewan Hospitals and Health Care Foundations
Want to submit an article about a health-related awareness day, week or month?
Submissions can be emailed to news@saskhealthauthority.ca. Submissions are subject to editing. Writers may be contacted regarding publication on the website, if the submission is deemed appropriate. Submissions must come from the department or portfolio. A photo may accompany the submission, but is not required. Any questions regarding these submissions, which should be no longer than 150 words, can be directed towards news@saskhealthauthority.ca. Submissions for a day/week/month should be limited to one submission and has executive director approval.
If you would like to highlight a health awareness day, week or month related to your profession, without creating a written summary, please send the name of the day/week/month to news@saskhealthauthority.ca with the subject line “Calendar Addition.” Your item will then appear in a special calendar within SHA Rounds for the relevant month.
