Gather a small team of 2 to 12 stakeholders that include clinical experts, operational leaders and support departments that can commit the time and expertise to develop the document(s). Refer to the Role Accountability document below for more detailed information.
CAUTION in having too small or too large a group. Too small and the amount of work is high per person. The larger the group the more difficult it is to get to agreement on the draft. Remember, the working group will be sending the initial draft(s) to a select feedback group and the final version will be sent out for broad consultation, so there is opportunity for provincial colleagues to review the document(s) and provide feedback prior to publishing.

Stakeholders are those clinical team members and leadership that have a vested interest in the application of the document(s).
- Early Feedback - use a small group of stakeholder to review the draft document(s) prior to broad consultation to provide feedback.
- Broad Consultation - use the identified stakeholders to review the document(s) and provide feedback prior to submission for approval.
NOTE: Selecting appropriate stakeholders is critical to the success of the document(s) on roll out as it:
- will assist in identifying operational gaps and content gaps prior to publishing.
- can help create buy in for the clinical document early, making implementation easier.
