Staff Safety
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is committed to the health, well-being, and safety of all team members by ensuring physical, psychological, social, cultural, and environmental safety every day, for everyone. The vision of the Staff Safety portfolio is to advance a positive safety culture through collaborative and caring approach to create a safe workplace and healthy workforce.
Did you know that getting vaccinated against influenza and COVID-19 is one of the most effective ways to protect both yourself and your patients from serious illness?
To find out how to get vaccinated at work, contact your local Staff Safety or Occupational Health office (contact lists are available below). You can also visit any clinic or pharmacy in your community that offers vaccines.
Contact Lists
Staff Safety maintains the OHS Program, which is a comprehensive framework of procedures, tools, policies, resources, and specific safety protocols designed to create and maintain a safe workplace within the Saskatchewan Health Authority. These are accessible to all team members, and developed in consultation with Occupational Health Committees and key stakeholders. Each area within the SHA is responsible for applying and implementing the relevant information and programs within their respective working environment.
OHS Program Elements
As of November 21, 2024, all internal SHA requests for Staff Safety Support (not including new hire training, O/EHN nursing support or incident reporting) must be submitted through the Staff Safety Tile on MyConnection.
