Strategy and Innovation Performance Measurement
The Performance Measurement portfolio serves four key functions:
- Shines a light on strengths and opportunities from system level to the point of care.
- Provides coaching, support and capacity development on using measurement for decision making.
- Evaluates impact.
- Stewards strategic priorities.
A few examples of how the Performance Measurement portfolio services the SHA include:
- Coordination and partnership in ongoing monitoring of health system performance,
- Data analysis in partnership with Digital Health Analytics,
- Continued maturity of the measurement cascades to support the health system indicators,
- Support the strategic planning process with data for decision making,
- Organizational wall walks,
- Support the tracking of operational accountabilities and budget initiatives,
- Support the cascading of visibility walls,
- Strategic project management.
The Performance Measurement team has been involved in many organizational accomplishments in collaboration with leaders across Saskatchewan. These include development of health system indicators, performance measurement cascades, emergency operations centre (EOC) COVID support, surgical services redesign, mental health initiatives, Immune Globulin stewardship, wait time reductions, vaccine planning, and others.
