AIMS this week - June 13, 2024
Good news from change readiness assessment A survey, conducted over a three-week span in May, was introduced to a select audience within the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) and other health-system organizations to gauge the readiness for the implementation of AIMS. Questions asked were designed to assess individual feelings of preparedness to engage in the change, gain an understanding of the project and the changes coming, and determine whether they feel they have access to the right information to help themselves and/or teammates through the change. Highlights of responses include the following:
Payroll processes and expectations With the implementation of the AIMS project this summer, there will be changes to the way that employees view their time accruals (e.g. sick time and vacation balances) and payslips.
As with current pay processes, we anticipate there will be corrections required as we go forward which will be completed in a timely manner. Thank you for your time and patience while we move to AIMS. Reminder: Expense claim restriction period (SHA only) There will be a two-week restriction period in which expense claims will not be processed to allow accounting time to transition to the new AIMS system. There will be no claims accepted for processing between June 17, 2024, and July 1, 2024. Expense claims received by accounting after June 17, 2024, will be returned to the employee, who will be required to submit the claim electronically through MyConnection after July 1, 2024. There may be a slight delay in payment during the transition to the new process. Capital purchase order restrictions There will be a pause on all capital purchase orders between June 24 and July 12, as part of transitioning to AIMS. During this time, urgent/emergent purchase order requirements will be addressed on a case-by-case basis. Training update Training materials are being uploaded to MyConnection.
