AIMS This Week - March 6, 2025
Time validation and scheduling system coming
The time validation and scheduling component of AIMS will support all health-care system employees across more than 400 health-care facilities. Once fully implemented, employees can view and manage their schedules and validate time worked, providing 24/7 access with a computer or mobile device.
Pending successful testing on May 18, 2025 (out-of-scope employees only), at the SHA, SHA affiliates, 3sHealth, SAHO, the Saskatchewan Healthcare Recruitment Agency and SHEPP will have access to the new time validation and scheduling components of AIMS.
Decrease in payroll advances required
Payroll advances in 2025 are about 60 per cent lower than the previous year. Advances are provided to employees when time entry was missed or incorrect. This can happen when an employee’s hours were not submitted, possibly because the manager wasn’t able to approve the hours in time for payroll processing or when an employee is not moved into a position in time. Before AIMS, payroll advances were averaging 450 per payday. Currently in 2025, they are averaging 185 per payday.
Thank you
Thank you for taking the time to learn the AIMS system. Data shows that fewer payroll-related questions are being asked.
