Autism Navigators connecting families with autism supports
Autism (also known as autism spectrum disorder or ASD) is a lifelong neurodevelopmental condition. Every individual with autism is unique, with their own strengths and support needs.
A diagnosis often opens up a whole new world for families, making support essential to help them navigate and access the therapies, programs, and services that best meet their needs.
In 2024, the Saskatchewan Autism Navigation Service was launched by the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), introducing two dedicated Autism Navigators. These professionals assist families in accessing autism supports, services, and groups across the province, while providing family-centered planning and goal setting to support their unique needs. To access the program, submit an email request.
Ensuring every family receives the care they need reflects the Saskatchewan Health Authority’s commitment to patient and family centered care, the core of our philosophy and the foundation of our CARES values of compassion, accountability, respect, equity and safety.
