Focus on staffing at the Regina Urgent Care Centre
As we approach the completion of construction on the Regina Urgent Care Centre (UCC), the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has turned our attention to staffing and orientation in preparations for the grand opening, which is expected summer 2024.
The new Regina UCC will include on-site laboratory, diagnostic imaging and pharmacy services in addition to physician and nursing services for patients admitted to the UCC.
The UCC will fill an important role in health care, bridging the gap between a patient’s need to go to the emergency department verses book an appointment with their family doctor or attend a walk-in clinic in the community to receive care. The UCC will also expand access to urgent mental health and addictions services. Our goal is to better serve patients in the community.
The SHA is hiring health-care workers throughout the province in a variety of roles. If you or someone you know is interested in applying, please visit Health Careers in Saskatchewan to view available postings!
