Health Human Resources by the numbers
Story
Over the past month the Government of Saskatchewan’s Health Human Resources (HHR) action plan has added to Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) staffing and recruitment in big ways. See some of the valuable additions below:
- 43 of 85 Filipino nurses that are enrolled in a nine-month program have arrived in Saskatchewan for the final weeks of the clinical training before joining the workforce.
- A total of 75 Filipino nurses are currently participating in the shorter 14-week bridging program.
- 785 grad nurses joined the SHA from Saskatchewan and across Canada.
- 205 permanent new or enhanced full-time positions filled in rural and remote areas.
- 156 applications received for the Final Clinical Placement Bursary.
