Urgent Care Centre now open for patients
A new era of urgent care has arrived in Saskatchewan; the Regina Urgent Care Centre (UCC) opens today, July 2, 2024.
"The Regina UCC is an exciting demonstration of the Saskatchewan Health Authority’s (SHA) focus to ensure patients receive the care they need, where and when they need it,” said Dr. Rashaad Hansia, SHA Physician Executive for Integrated Regina Health. “The UCC’s team will work together to assess, treat, manage and support illness, injury, and mental health and addictions needs, all under the same roof.”
Multi-disciplinary teams will be working with the latest laboratory and diagnostic imaging equipment on-site to assist in efficient diagnosis of patients. Physician, nursing, diagnostic and pharmacy services will also be a prominent feature of this multi-disciplinary team of health-care professionals.
“We thank our government partners for their unwavering commitment to build the UCC and the Hospitals of Regina Foundation for its generous support and contributions to furnish and equip the facility,” said Sheila Anderson, SHA Vice-President of Integrated Regina Health. “Most importantly, thank you to our SHA teams and physician partners for your tireless work to see this project from the early planning stages through to fruition.”
