Regina Urgent Care Centre: Six months of compassionate care
Since opening in July 2024, the Regina Urgent Care Centre (UCC) staff have been dedicated to delivering exceptional health care to the Regina community. In just six months, we've reached some truly remarkable milestones:
- 20,000+ patients served,
- 2,339 electrocardiograms (ECGs),
- 979 ultrasounds,
- 6,699 x-rays,
- 8,003 laboratory services, and
- 774 patients supported with Mental Health and Addiction Services.
These achievements are thanks to the hard work of the incredible UCC staff. Their commitment to patient care reflects the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) values: Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Equity, and Safety (CARES), ensuring that everyone who comes to the UCC receives the best care possible.
“Our staff and physicians at the Regina Urgent Care Centre work incredibly hard to care for those seeking treatment for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries requiring same-day attention,” said Thomas Stewart, SHA Executive Director of Acute Care in Regina. “Despite the high volume of patients, the UCC team continues to demonstrate compassion and respect—core values of the SHA—on a daily basis.”
