AIMS This Week - July 24, 2025
Long-term leave request process change
What’s changing?
Long-term leave requests are any leave type that exceeds a duration of 30 days. Effective immediately, employees will no longer submit long-term leave requests directly in the system. Managers must now submit leave of absence requests on your behalf once the leave is approved.
What you need to do:
Continue to discuss your long-term leave plans with your manager as you normally would.
Release 3 information sessions
Upcoming information sessions are available to walk you through key features of the new system, including demonstrations and question and answer opportunities. Go to the AIMS information button on MyConnection for more information on dates, times and locations.
In-scope all employee course now available
This self-paced training is the first step in your learning journey. Please coordinate with your manager to block off two hours in your schedule to complete this required eLearning course. Remember that this course is mandatory for all employees.
Refer to Quick Reference Guide KB0014532 for step-by-step instructions on how to access the Learning Management System and enroll in the course.
Instructor-led training (ILT)
These sessions will run between July 29-August 22 with both virtual or in-person options (four hours each)
In-person locations include Moose Jaw, Assiniboia, Shaunavon, Maple Creek, Swift Current, and Gravelbourg.
Because these sessions require time away from daily duties, we encourage you to discuss with your manager and register early. Registration is now open and closes one week before each session date.
To enroll in ILT
Refer to the Quick Reference Guide KB0014533 for step-by-step instructions.
The course name you should enroll in is: In-Scope All Employee Course – be sure to select the offering that works best for your location and availability.
System enhancements
As employees go live in MyScheduling, suggestions are coming in for how to improve parts of the system. Although feedback is important and always appreciated, the project team isfocused on supporting employees in the remaining releases. This is the top priority. Minimal enhancements should be expected until all go-live releases are completed.
